Zephyr: An Anarchist Game of Fleeting Identities

Heyy'all!

Hope you're having a nice end of winter (yes, it is winter here in the southern hemisphere). I wanted to touch base with y'all, since after illustration work and design and a proper rest, I've finished draft work on what will be the Bonds & Baggage supplement (the Backpack Add On)! The final document is clocking in at 72 pages, so after edits and proofing I'll be sending it to the printer :))) I'm very happy to share the news with y'all. Here are some shots from the interiors, and the cover:

At the same time, I've already set up the pledge manager for the project, and sent it for approval, so we should have all of it ready in a couple of days time to proceed with surveys. I should receive a shipping fees chart in the next couple days too, to make sure we have that input correctly.

So, yay! We are pushing through! Thank you so much for your patience. I know this took longer than expected, but I really didn't envision this to become a fully fledged adventure, with all new illustration work, pregens, etc. - I think it has been worth the wait and the work, and hope you enjoy it <3

Hey folks!

Just wanted to give y'all an update! I continue to work on the backpack add on, which will have a new name given that now it comes with a whole ass starter adventure plus pregens. I've been taking care to illustrate and write the adventure so that it's accessible, works as a good intro to several key mechanics, and can be used with the pregens for quick plug and play :)

Here are a few of the spreads I've been churning out:



Together with some of the pregens! I made a party that's pretty functional, and the adventure introduces each character quickly and with a small rundown of their party role. For example, here's Ophu, a good all-rounder on utility for food processing, with an edge versus Salt State Heroes:

...as well as Auiphi, who has some crafting chops and can serve as the party's medic:

Once all these are done, we should be quickly running it through testing/proofing, and getting them printed for y'all. Thank you so much for your patience, I hope the added value is appreciated <3 I remain ready to answer any questions in the meantime!

Hey y'all!

Thank you so much for partaking of the Zephyr campaign! This was a great success for us, and as I suggested on the last update, I will indeed by printing the intro adventure together with the Backpack Add On - yay!

This wouldn't have been possible if we had not raised all we did, and I'm very thankful that we'll be able to put this onto the supplement too. So much so, I'm left thinking that I should probably come up with a new name for it, since it's clearly not just the backpack rules and character sheets anymore :)

I spent the last week resting, and so this week I'll be back at work on Zephyr so we can get this one sent to print, set up the pledge manager, and get things shipping ASAP. If you have any questions, remember you can ask anytime, and feel free to join our discord if you wanna talk about the game.

We are now on the final 24 hours of the campaign, and I'm very glad to see how much support we have garnered for Zephyr!

Now's the time to spread the word and get the ball rolling for the last stretch :) you can help us if you wish to by sharing the following post on BlueSky. The final thing I wanted to say is (and this is not 100% confirmed, since I need to ensure we can do this), I may be able to fit the adventure I'm writing into the contents of the backpack add on. We gotta check to see how much in terms of page content this bulks it up, but it should be pretty cool if we can pull it off - and the more money we raise, the more likely it'll be!

Hey y'all! Welcome to the Zephyr Ennies Emporium campaign!

I'm very glad to have this opportunity, and very thankful for y'all to step in. Zephyr has been a huge undertaking for me, and in the same way it's been a whole oddissey to make it real, it's also now been two years of very hard work to get it seen and make people aware of it. Designers from the global south get few opportunities to boost our art, and so this to me signifies a chance to bring new and exciting ideas I couldn't realize back in 2024 - as is the backpack add on.

Fortunately, we already blew past that one, so: YAY! Is time to celebrate! 

The backpack Add On, for those who don't know, is an add that turns the whole cargo system into yet another of the really cool, physical mini games that characterize several of Zephyr's subsystems, like cooking and gliding, by using item cutouts and arranging them like a puzzle in different kinds of backpacks :)

Also, the add on comes with a bunch of pre-printed color character sheets. Everyone really liked the character sheets I drew, but of course, when you print them yourselves, they kinda lose a lot of detail and charm. Having them pre-printed helps tons :)

On other exciting news, due to popular demand on our Discord (you're welcome to join it!), I'm preparing a free scenario for folk who wanna run one shots and quick games at conventions and clubs, with pregens :) also a chance for me to draw all new illustrations for all the spreads! here are some, included a WIP of the granary cross section.

Anyway, that's what's up for now! I'll be making an update in a couple days as we push onwards. I still have all the emails to shoot out to the mailing list so hopefully we pick up more steam with that.
